As violence escalates across the Middle East, we wanted to share an update on how Americares is approaching this rapidly evolving situation.
Recent airstrikes in Iran and renewed violence affecting Israel and southern Lebanon are placing additional strain on already fragile health systems. Reports indicate damage to hospitals, disruption of emergency and trauma services and pressure on medicine supply chains.
Americares is supporting partner organizations providing health services to those directly affected by the crisis and we are ready to provide trauma supplies, essential medicines and other emergency aid.

In Gaza, we're supporting a mother-and-child clinic providing immediate health services for up to 4,000 pregnant women, mothers and children each month.
In Lebanon, where an escalating conflict has displaced tens of thousands, Americares is ready to provide partners with trauma supplies, essential medicines and emergency support for health services.
In Syria, where Americares has worked since 2012, renewed regional instability could further disrupt access to essential health services.
Our Emergency Programs team continues to monitor the situation closely and coordinate with partners to determine where our support – including essential medicines, emergency health kits and mental health support – can make the greatest impact.
