Airlink: Nepal Floods Response

by AIRLINK INC

Airlink is mobilizing nonprofit and logistics partners to reach communities in northern Nepal after Wednesday morning’s catastrophic flash flood. Extensive damage to critical infrastructure from floodwaters that reached as high as 270 feet left roadways, bridges, and buildings swept away in some communities. Immediate needs include Search and Rescue teams, emergency supplies, and building access to affected areas.

Disaster response efforts are ongoing but hampered, making it increasingly challenging to reach remote communities. Airlink is navigating the unique and complex response requirements given the altitude of Kathmandu’s airport and high transport costs in country. With previous response experience from the 2015 earthquake, COVID-19 Delta variant, and flooding in 2024 and 2025, as well as ongoing health systems strengthening, Airlink is positioned to identify key partners to help us get aid there, fast.
