When natural disasters and other humanitarian crises occur, choosing the right charity to support can be challenging. Many relief charities specialize in an area of response – search and rescue, shelter or sanitation, for example. It is difficult to know at the outset of the disaster if and for how long those areas of specialization are needed. As a donor you may wonder if you have chosen to fund a relevant response.
Airlink is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization working to change the way the humanitarian community responds to disasters, connecting NGOs’ airlift needs with timely, low-cost transportation for response personnel and material aid to natural disasters and manmade emergencies around the world. By lowering logistical and cost-related barriers for all humanitarian NGOs, Airlink is helping small- and medium-sized organizations provide their expertise, even if they lack the means to respond on their own.
When you support Airlink, you are enabling us to help the most appropriate charities respond to crises quickly and efficiently.
Join Our Effort:
Since its inception in 2010, Airlink has helped provide 40 million people with humanitarian aid, sent 10,000 skilled responders, and delivered over 7.5 million pounds of relief supplies around the world.
Without Airlink and support from you, the needs of many disaster survivors will go unmet. Food and medicine will not reach people in time, families will live unsheltered and exposed to the elements and the rebuilding of livelihoods and communities will be delayed. Working together, Airlink and its partners can address the critical needs of those who, through no fault of their own, find themselves dependent on assistance following disasters.
