Airlink: 2026 Venezuela Earthquakes

, AIRLINK INC

Venezuela was rocked by back-to-back 7.2 and 7.5-magnitude earthquakes on June 24, which leveled buildings and left thousands of people unaccounted for in La Guaira state, near the capital of Caracas. They are the strongest earthquakes in over 125 years in the country’s history. In response to the Venezuelan government’s call international assistance, Airlink has activated its network of humanitarian, aviation, and logistics partners to rapidly send relief.

Airlink is supporting our humanitarian partners to help communities across Venezuela by sending:
- Search and Rescue and emergency medical teams
- Disaster assessment and management teams
- Urgently-needed aid supplies, including medical supplies, medicines, water filters, food, shelter supplies, and more

With damage to the largest airport in Venezuela, Simón Bolívar International Airport, temporarily paused flights into the country, Airlink is working to find the safest and most efficient routes for responders, including looking at options into the closest seaport or regional airports outside of the capital. Airlink has a long history of responding to catastrophic earthquakes, including the Türkiye-Syria earthquake in 2023 and Myanmar earthquake in 2025, and is utilizing best practice developed in those rapid responses to mobilize partners and get immediate relief to communities.

While Airlink receives donated tickets from airlines, your generous donations cover increasing taxes and fuel surcharges, and ensure that Airlink’s expertise is there, around the clock, to help nonprofits deploy during this crisis.

Your generosity transforms lives. Thank you!
