WCK's Response to Typhoon Bavi in the Northern Mariana Islands (July 2026)
, WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN INCORPORATEDWCK is responding to Typhoon Bavi in the Northern Mariana Islands. Just 10 weeks after Super Typhoon Sinlaku devastated the Northern Mariana Islands, another powerful storm is bearing down on the same communities. Typhoon Bavi is rapidly intensifying and is expected to strike Guam, Saipan, Rota, and Tinian as a Category 4 or 5 equivalent typhoon. A State of Significant Emergency has been issued for the region. WCK is coordinating with local partners on the ground to start serving meals as soon as the need arises.
WCK is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes to the frontlines with the urgency of now to start cooking and provide meals to people in need.
By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of food trucks or emergency kitchens, WCK provides freshly made, nutritious meals to communities impacted by disasters quickly and effectively. We know that good food provides not only nourishment, but also comfort and hope, especially in times of crisis.
With over 500 million meals served globally, WCK continues to bring relief, one plate at a time. Your donation today fuels this mission—helping us reach more people, faster, when they need it most.
