United for Haiti: Cisco and WFP USA Action Against Hunger

, World Food Program USA

Amid a deepening security crisis, hunger has reached unprecedented levels in Haiti. Today, 5 million people—almost half the population—are struggling to feed themselves. The World Food Programme (WFP) is urgently working to help those facing severe food shortages. For more than fifty years, WFP has been committed to Haiti, a commitment that continues despite gang violence, natural disasters, and economic instability.

In just the early days of March, WFP provided nearly 300,000 people with hot meals and food distributions. Despite roadblocks and access constraints, WFP continues to serve 250,000 children with school meals every day. These meals are crucial for their education and health.

WFP also works with Haitian communities to make their food supply more reliable and sustainable. This is key to helping Haiti build a future where everyone has enough to eat. WFP aims to help 2.4 million people in 2024.

"United for Haiti: Cisco and WFP Action Against Hunger" gives Cisco employees a chance to support this mission. Joining this campaign helps WFP's wide-ranging work to reduce hunger and strengthen Haiti's resilience. It's an invitation to come together and act on one of the most urgent humanitarian crises today. Every contribution has the power to make a real difference. Just a small donation can provide a child with meals for a week, support a farmer to sustainably produce food for local communities, or help rebuild the infrastructure needed to deliver aid more efficiently. By joining forces with WFP, we're not just offering resources; we're giving hope and enabling progress towards a hunger-free future in Haiti. Your support is a crucial part of this journey.
