WCK's Response to the Humanitarian Crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Feb. 2026)

World Central Kitchen’s Relief Team is responding in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where long-running conflict has recently escalated in Bukavu—cutting families off from food and water. Working alongside trusted local partner Panzi Hospital, WCK is supporting the preparation and distribution of fresh, nourishing meals to the hospital’s staff, patients, and those accompanying patients.

WCK is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Relief Team mobilizes to the frontlines with the urgency of now to start cooking and provide meals to people in need.

By partnering with organizations on the ground and activating a network of food trucks or emergency kitchens, WCK provides freshly made, nutritious meals to communities impacted by disasters quickly and effectively.
