Devastating Floods in Pakistan: Americares is ready to respond!

Since Aug. 15, several devastating floods have swept through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan – triggered by intense monsoon rains and sudden cloudbursts. Nearly 400 lives have been lost and nearly 200 people injured. Entire villages were swept away in seconds, homes destroyed, and vital infrastructure washed out, leaving communities cut off from help. The situation is dire, and more rainfall is still expected.

Americares is in Pakistan, working with local partners to assess the most urgent health needs. We are prepared to provide medicine, hygiene kits and funding to restore damaged health facilities and access to clean water.
