2025 Airlink Atlantic Hurricane Season: Hurricane Melissa

op AIRLINK INC

Hurricane Melissa intensified from a tropical storm to a powerful Category 5 storm that made landfall in Jamaica on October 28th, before moving into the Northern Caribbean, with islands like Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas in the path of destruction. The storm has already brought devastating rainfall, high-speed winds, and deadly flooding throughout the Caribbean, with millions of communities and families in harm's way. Jamaica’s two international airports are closed, with extensive damage sustained to the island’s homes, businesses, water/power infrastructure, and more. This is anticipated to be the island’s most catastrophic storm, and the need for support is significant.

Airlink is actively coordinating with its airline partners, 15+ NGO partners, various UN agencies, as well as regional agencies, such as the Caribbean Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA). Before Melissa's landfall, we already pre-positioned responders in Jamaica and are working around the clock to remain vigilant to the ever-changing situation, meet partners’ needs, and coordinate transportation and logistics solutions for essential aid and personnel.

The path to recovery will be long, but your support TODAY ensures that we're able to transport humanitarian aid supplies and expert responders to the communities and families that need it most. Thank you for supporting Airlink's mission!
