The Russian invasion of Donbass region of Ukraine left thousands of casualties, including dozens of Ukrainian veterans with serious spinal trauma. Starting 2015 Nova Ukraine helps Ukrainian organization "Revived Soldiers Ukraine" (rsukraine.org) to host some of these veterans in US rehab center "Next Step" (Los Angeles).
These are young people who suffered serious spinal injuries protecting Ukraine. They undergo physical rehab in Los Angeles, and when possible, we invite them to Bay Area to show San Francisco, Google and other attractions.
When they return home, we continue to send them medical supplies which are hard to get there. It includes urinal catheters, urinal bags etc. -- staff you do not want to talk much about but which they need every day.
