Project HOPE Responds to Humanitarian Crisis in Israel & Gaza

On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched an attack on Israel, resulting in over 1,400 deaths and the abduction of more than 200 hostages into Gaza by Hamas militants. Since then, the escalating conflict has caused significant casualties among Palestinians and intensified violence across Israel and the Palestinian Territories.
In response, Project HOPE quickly mobilized an emergency operation, deploying personnel to Israel and Egypt to preposition medical and relief supplies. Working with local authorities, UN agencies, and civil society, Project HOPE is coordinating aid deliveries to both Israel and Gaza. Mobile medical teams were also deployed in Jordan. Project HOPE has staff on the ground in Israel and Gaza and remains active with partners in Israel, Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, and Lebanon to continue assessing and addressing the health and humanitarian needs of affected communities.
