On Friday, March 28, Myanmar was shaken to its core by a catastrophic 7.7 magnitude
earthquake. In an instant, entire communities were reduced to rubble. More than 1,700 lives have been lost, and thousands more are injured. Families have been torn apart, left without homes, food, or even the comfort of knowing their loved ones are safe.
For the 14.9 million people affected, survival is a daily struggle. Among them are 1.5 million internally displaced people—already forced from their homes by years of conflict—who now face yet another unimaginable hardship. They have nowhere left to turn.
