In the early hours of March 22nd, 2024, Kharkiv was struck by a catastrophic attack, leading to the complete destruction of the city's thermal power plant and all transformer substations. This assault has not only darkened Kharkiv’s homes but also the hearts of many, as they face an unprecedented challenge in restoring energy while enduring intensified shelling by russia.
The resilience of the people of Kharkiv is being tested as they confront this disaster. Lives are disrupted, the warmth of countless homes is lost, and the light of our city has dimmed.
