World Central Kitchen’s Relief Team is on the ground in Veracruz, Mexico, to support families impacted by devastating flooding caused by heavy rains. The downpours and ensuing flooding and landslides have damaged thousands of homes, flooded roads, and even cut off power to entire towns.
Alongside the local community our teams are providing hot meals, food kits, and water. To honor Día de Muertos, we are also collaborating with local bakeries and chocolaterías to distribute pan de muerto. More than a meal, this initiative aims to offer warmth, hope, and a taste of tradition to families affected by the floods, celebrating the culture and strength that define Veracruz.
