Doctors Without Borders: Earthquake in Myanmar

작성자 Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)

On March 28, 2025 at 12:50 p.m. local time, a catastrophic 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar, leaving destruction in its wake.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)’s staff in Myanmar and Thailand are safe. Our teams in Myanmar and surrounding countries are ready to respond to the scale of needs of affected communities. We’re also prepared to help people who’ve lost shelter, access to healthcare, and safe drinking water. Every second counts when saving lives in the immediate aftermath of an earthquake, particularly for people suffering from trauma injuries.

From Myanmar and Thailand to Sudan and Ukraine, your unrestricted support powers our ability to stay nimble and act swiftly when an emergency strikes. Make an unrestricted donation today to help MSF stay prepared to respond to emergencies like this one and deliver care wherever the needs are greatest around the world.

The full scale of damage is unknown, but early reports state more than 100 people were killed and hundreds injured. The ability to deploy assessment teams is critical in the first hours and days after any earthquake if we hope to respond with life and limb-saving surgical care for people injured.

Emergency responses like these are only possible with the unrestricted support of people like you. We’re independently funded so that when a crisis strikes, we don’t have to navigate red tape—we can go where needs are greatest to save lives.

Please donate today to ensure that we can respond quickly and effectively to help those who need us most in more than 70 countries around the world.

Thank you for your support in this urgent moment.
