2024 Hurricane Season - Hurricanes Helene and Milton

par AIRLINK INC

The Atlantic Hurricane Season lasts through November 30th.

Airlink has extensive expertise in effectively responding to major hurricanes. We swiftly transport response teams to affected communities, delivering immediate relief on the ground. Airlink also provides critical airlift of supplies, including food, shelter, WASH items, and more. Our team is standing by to provide transport and logistics support for our NGO partners.

CURRENT HURRICANE RESPONSE:

Hurricane Helene
Since Helene's landfall, Airlink has supported 16 NGO partners by providing free-of-charge flights to 180 trainer personnel, including emergency responders, health professionals, logisticians, and additional programmatic staff, to arrive on the ground as quickly as possible.

Helene is expected to hit areas that are still recovering from Hurricane Idalia and Hurricane Debby. Airlink is dedicated to assisting residents affected by damage to their homes, food insecurity, and debris clearance, while also focusing on long-term recovery efforts. Our sponsored relief personnel will provide targeted support, including muck-and-gut services, tree clearing, tarping, cleanup, temporary shelters, and the distribution of non-food items.

Hurricane Milton
Hurricane Milton made landfall as a Category 3 storm with wind speeds as strong as 120 mph, leaving in its wake devastation. Life-threatening storm surges, damaging winds, and heavy rainfall hit the state's west coast, with flash flooding risks extending to central and eastern Florida.

Particularly concerning is that Milton struck communities still reeling from the devastation of Hurricane Helene just days prior, further complicating recovery efforts. The compounding effects of back-to-back storms are putting immense strain on resources, making timely support and coordinated responses more critical than ever. Airlink is actively positioning responders throughout the state, with a particular focus on Tampa, Fort Myers, Tallahassee, and Sarasota.
