Emergency Hunger Relief Fund

by World Food Program USA

In response to an urgent funding shortfall warning from World Food Programme (WFP), World Food Program USA launched the Emergency Hunger Relief Fund. The fund aims to raise more than $25 million in private sector and individual donor support in the United States to help sustain WFP operations in 28 critical crisis zones, where pipeline breaks are expected as early as August 2025. These countries include Lebanon, Sudan, Syria, South Sudan, Chad, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Uganda, Niger, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Yemen, Mali, Bangladesh, Venezuela, Haiti, Mozambique, Nigeria, Somalia, Kenya, Ukraine, Malawi, Burundi, Ethiopia, Gaza, Central African Republic, Jordan and Egypt.

Millions of lives are at risk. Without immediate funding, WFP will be forced to reduce or suspend assistance to people whose survival depends on it.
